Established in 2021 by Derek Davidson, Surface Vessel embodies the creation of luxurious, sizable, and resilient pieces meticulously hand-carved, shaped and finished from naturally felled and locally sourced timbers.

Originally an industrial designer, he now collaborates with select gallery, commercial & residential curators and aims to fabricate pieces that transcend functionality, elevate the space they inhabit & the senses of those who experience them.

Operating out of Hudson, QC - Surface Vessel  is a symbolically named studio specializing in the creation of distinctive and individual sculptural installations.
